Training special pedagogues

LTStraipsnyje nagrinėjama specialiųjų pedagogų rengimo Šiaulių universitete problema. Norint sėkmingai integruoti specialiųjų ugdymosi poreikių (SUP) turinčius vaikus į bendrojo lavinimo mokyklą, svarbiausia mokytojų užduotis yra mokėti dirbti su SUP vaikais. Daugelis specialistų pripažįsta, kad sunku vaikus su klausos sutrikimais įtraukti į bendrojo lavinimo mokyklas. Ekspertų teigimu, galima integruoti vaikus su klausos sutrikimu, jei užtikrinsime mokytojo specialisto, logopedo ir specialiojo pedagogo pagalbą; jei yra lėšų vaiko papildomam išsilavinimui (pvz., mokant užsienio kalbų); speciali pagalba yra reikalinga tiems, kurie mokosi aukštosiose mokyklose. Kitų ekspertų manymu, mūsų specialistai gali dirbti profesionaliai, taip pat padaryti kokybišką savo veiklos analizę ir parodyti integruoto švietimo privalumus. Būtina siekti profesionalių specialiųjų pedagogų rengimo universitetuose: tobulinti jų įgūdžius dirbti su specialiųjų mokymosi sutrikimų turinčiais vaikais. Pastebėta nauja svarbi tendencija mokytojų rengimo srityje, siekiant suteikti kalbos terapiją ir pedagoginę pagalbą labai mažiems vaikams (nuo 0 iki 3 metų). Įvertinus integracijos procesą, pats laikas dėmesį sutelkti ne tik į kiekybinius duomenis (kiek vaikų turi integruotą išsilavinimą), bet ir į kokybinį situacijos vertinimą (kokia pedagoginė pagalba teikiama vaikui, jos svarba, reikalingi ištekliai ir t. t.). ENThe article deals with the problem of the special teachers training at Šiauliai University. In order to successfully integrate children with special educational needs (SEN) into a general education school, the primary task of the teachers is to know how to work with children with SEN. Many specialists admit that it is difficult to involve children with hearing impairments into the general education schools. According to the experts, it is possible to integrate children with hearing impairment if the support from a teacher-specialist, speech therapist and special teacher will be assured; if there are additional resources for the education of the child (such as the teaching of a foreign language); the special support is needed for those who are studying in higher education. In other experts' opinion, our specialists can work professionally, make a high-quality analysis of their practice and show the advantages of the integrated education. It is necessary to seek professional training of special teachers in universities: to improve their skills working with children with specific learning disabilities. An important trend has been spotted in the field of teachers training when trying to give the speech therapy and educational assistance for very young children (from 0 to 3 years). After the integration process has been assessed, it is time to focus not only on the quantitative data (how many children have the integrated education), but also on the qualitative assessment of the situation (what kind of pedagogical assistance shall be provided to the child, its importance, necessary resources, etc.). The actual degree of integration is reflected in the qualitative characteristics.
