Changes in the physical education teacher's school activity in the period of restored statehood of Lithuania

LTSiekiant ugdymo procesą padaryti humaniškesniu, labai svarbus mokytojo požiūris į mokymo turinį bent jau iš dviejų perspektyvų: kaip neatskiriama ugdymo proceso dalis ir kaip proceso rezultatas. Tyrimo objektas – pokyčiai fizinio lavinimo pamokose, kuriuos sukėlė Švietimo reformos idėjos Lietuvoje. Tyrimo tikslas – nustatyti kūno kultūros mokytojų veiklos pokyčius Lietuvos mokyklose atkūrus Nepriklausomybę. Taikyti šie tyrimo metodai: klausimynai (fizinio lavinimo mokytojų nuomonė apie mokyklos veiklos pokyčius), pedagoginis stebėjimas (pamokų stebėjimas, siekiant nustatyti pokyčius mokytojų veikloje). Tyrimas atliktas 1994 metais, jame dalyvavo 173 Lietuvos regionų ir miestelių fizinio lavinimo mokytojai. Tyrimo rezultatai atskleidė, kad atkūrus Nepriklausomybę, atsirado esminių fizinio lavinimo pokyčių mokyklose. Vis dėlto tik 73,4 proc. tyrime dalyvavusių mokytojų ir 75,0 proc. mokytojų stebėtose pamokose yra pasirengę keisti savo metodus. Akcentuodami dalyko turinį, šiek tiek ignoruojami švietimo procesai. Mokytojai ir mokiniai, turintys skirtingas funkcijas, turėtų būti traktuojami kaip partneriai. Atliktas tyrimas 5-6 klasėse leidžia daryti išvadą, kad švietimo turinys atsilieka nuo lankstesnių pokyčių ugdymo procese. Fizinio lavinimo pamokose pasigendama naujų humanistinių ir demokratinių savybių. Išryškinta, kad nepakankama valstybės parama ir bloga materialinė bazė yra dvi rimtos kliūtys, trukdančios atnaujinti kūno kultūros metodus. ENIn order to make the education process more humane, very important is the teacher's attitude towards the teaching content from at least two perspectives, i. e. as an integral part of the education process and as a result of the process. The object of this research is the change in lessons of physical education, caused by ideas of the education reform in Lithuania. The aim of this research is to identify the change of physical education teachers' activities in Lithuanian schools after the restoration of Independence. The following methods of research were applied: questionnaires (the opinion of physical education teachers about the change in school activity), pedagogic observation (the observation of lessons, in order to identify the change in teachers' activity). The research was carried out in 1994 and 173 physical education teachers of Lithuanian regions and towns participated in the research. Results of the research showed that after the restoration of Independence some fundamental changes in physical education occurred in schools. However, only 73,5 percent of teachers participating in the research and 75 percent of teachers in the lessons observed are ready to change their methods. The process of education is slightly ignored to accentuate the content of the subject. Both teachers and students, despite having different functions, should be treated as partners. The research in the 5th and 6th grades allows to conclude that the education content is left behind the more flexible changes in the process of education. The physical education lessons are lacking new humanist and democratic features. It is highlighted that insufficient support from the State and poor material basis are two serious obstacles to renew the methods of physical education. What is more, teachers are more likely to rely on traditional educational methods.
