ENChanges that take place in the society touch a family as well. In the modern society the vanishing of values is observed especially those that relate to duties and responsibility. The universal values that used to be beyond dispute more and more often are verificated nowadays. To know and understand a human better, you have to watch his behaviour in the social environment. Generally speaking about socialisation that extends all over the life it is better to conceptualise a present-day, family and the relationships between the members of the family. For a human the family is the basic primary social group. The family is an intercessor between a child and society and the main institution of socialisation wherein the proprieties and values that are essential for living in the society are formed. Other institutions that are important for forming a personality are: school – which upholds traditional family values; peer groups – which may have both positive and negative influence; culture – which upholds a base of national culture; church – which forms spirituality that standardizes the man's behaviour and promotes upholding of cultural values.National self-awareness and morality depend on upholding of values. The family is the first educator of all the values. The more harmonious is the family the more harmonious is the society.
