ENUnder the circumstances of globalization, the realization of the strategic goals of the country development depends upon the human capital, which is determined by education and trained cooperation based on creativity, openness, and responsibility. The scientific problem is defined by such questions, which include: how can a human capital influence the preparation of specialists in higher education? How can the human capital develop training of competent specialists in higher education? The research problem is the factors of human capital in higher education. The aim of the research is to analyze the factors of the human capital in higher education. There are three main types of capital that the most often discriminated by researchers: physical, human and natural capital. The paper tackles the only one type of them – a human capital. The analysis is based on I.B. Iljinskij‘ s (1996) conception of a human capital and his exceptional determination of human factors: education, health and culture capital. After the completion of the survey at KTU, women respondents think that the main motive which stimulates them to study is the opportunity to get a better job. Meanwhile, men find more important possessing a diploma in a job search. The women stated that higher education was essential in achieving better living quality; meanwhile, the men emphasised the significance of a higher payment. Additionally, the analyses of the resources of a culture capital development comprised the relation between a learning process and visiting culture events. It showed similarly that objective assessment during the learning process was the most central for women respondents, but for the men – the positive assessment was more crucial. However, both men and women have got identical opinion about the attendance of cultural events: a cinema was chosen as a common priority by the both of the genders. The reciprocal agreement of all human capital factors will guarantee the realization of education and teaching objectives and criteria. [From the publication]
