ENThe analysis presented in this part of the study deals with legal regulations applicable to surface water management and protection in the Republic of Lithuania. Provisions of the WFD were implemented into the Lithuanian Water Law (Lietuvos Respublikos Vandens Įstatymas, Lietuvos aidas 1997 m. spalio 21 d. Nr. VIII-474). The main regulations which may concern environmental protection, with water protection and management, include: 1) Lietuvos Respublikos Vandens Įstatymas [The Water Law of the Republic of Lithuania] Lietuvos aidas 1997 m. spalio 21 d. Nr.
