LTNuolatinio mokymo(si) sistemos sukūrimas - viena iš esminių Lietuvos švietimo reformos gairių. Sparti mokslo ir technologijų plėtra skatina nuolat tobulinti bendruosius ir profesinius asmens gebėjimus, pažinti ir realizuoti kiekvieno žmogaus individualumą. Straipsnyje aptariamos bendrosios tęstinio suaugusiųjų ugdymo tendencijos, jų pagrindu iškeliama ir akcentuojama atvirų edukologijos studijų svarba šiandieninėje visuomenėje. Straipsnyje pateikiami edukologijos studijų motyvacijos tyrimai, svarstomi edukologijos studijų ypatumai, studijų programų optimizavimo prielaidos. ENDuring the present period of changes, the modem society discusses intensively the ideas of continuous training. The theories of training, as based on such ideas, are the grounds for the development of the andragogic - the science of training adults. The research on this subject is not finally completed. This article analyzes the problem: What are the factors conditioning the continuous University educology studies of adults? What are the peculiarities of the motivation of this process? The continuous training of adults is conditioned by the entirety of inner and outer factors. The character of the interaction of there of depends on the system of value orientation of an individual. The value orientation towards the continuous training strengthens with the maturation of a person. Practical investigation of the students of educology studies proves that one of the main motives for training is the aiming for higher education and receiving the diploma to prove it. During the first years of studies the wish for studying survived among adult students. Training has positive influence on their professional and personal life. The characteristic feature of the educology studies is the specifics of such studies, thus for the realization of the idea of an open University the syllabus of the educology subjects should be corrected and adapted to a peculiar group of students with different professional and life experience.
