LTStraipsnio tikslas - atskleisti naujų pastatų architektūros kūrimo Lietuvos didžiųjų miestų istorinėje aplinkoje 1950-2003 m. raidos tendencijas. Išskirti šie periodai: 1950-1961 m., 1961-1974 m., 1974-1990 m. ir 1990-2003 m. Naujos architektūros Lietuvos didžiųjų miestų istorinėje aplinkoje 1950-2003 m. praktikos tyrimas atskleidė pagrindines jos kaitos tendencijas skatinusias priežastis: teisines prielaidas ir idėjines nuostatas.
ENThe paper deals with the tendencies of architectural design in the historic environment of the largest Lithuanian cities in 1950-2003. The tendencies of evolution of new architecture in the historic environment are described in characteristic periods. The impact of factors that determine the evolution of practice - legal regulations and guidelines, and ideological conceptions of the time - is revealed.
