LTLietuvos žemės ūkio universitete 14 specialybių studentai mokosi pagal bakalauro ir 2 specialybių pagal taikomųjų (profesinių) studijų programas. Universitete diplomuoto specialisto studijose išskiriamos 46, o magistrantūros studijose - 55 specializacijos. Lietuvos veterinarijos akademijoje ruošiami dviejų kvalifikacijų specialistai ir jose atitinkamai išskiriama po 9 specializacijas. Įgiję šias specialybes ir specializacijas žemės ūkio aukštųjų mokyklų absolventai sėkmingai įsidarbina įvairiose šalies agrarinio sektoriaus srityse ir kitose ūkio šakose. Atsižvelgus į specialistų sėkmingos socialinės profesinės adaptacijos prielaidas jų poreikis yra pagrįstas. Per paskutinius penkerius metus Lietuvos žemės ūkio universitetas kasmet vidutiniškai parengdavo po 560, o Lietuvos veterinarijos akademija po 100 - 120 specialistų. Artimiausioje perspektyvoje kiekvienais metais Lietuvos žemės ūkio universitete reikėtų parengti po 540 - 660, o Lietuvos veterinarijos akademijoje po 160 - 180 specialistų.
ENThe basic new professional requirements are raised for specialists prepared in high schools of agriculture in difficult and rapidly changing world of work and profession. All this changes the structural changes of qualification and professional structure and number of specialists working in agriculture. The specialties and specializations found in the studies programs of Lithuanian University of Agriculture arid in the studies programs of Lithuanian Veterinary Academy permit to find the job for graduates in different fields of country agricultural sector and successfully find the work in other branches of the economy. The list of specialties and specialization's ought to be made more precise according to the Lithuanian integration to the EU perspectives when the importance of agriculture will become less and according to the environmental changes found in agricultural business. Average preparation of specialists per year in Lithuanian University of Agriculture is 564 and in Lithuanian Veterinary Academy is 100- 120 at last period. In nearest future the University ought to prepare 540 - 560 specialists per year and the Veterinary Academy ought to prepare 140 -170 specialists per year. Since the amount of specialists prepared in high schools of agriculture is close to the demand the basic corrections of acceptation plans in resent time they are not purposeful. There is no reasonable methodical and institution of the specialists demand prognosis in the country in recent years. It is purposeful to create the data banks about the possible working places for graduates in high schools and to prognoses the demand of the specialists. It is useful to make precise the acceptation of the students to different specialties periodically according to the demand of specialists.
