ENEU diplomacy, Lithuanian European diplomacy, High Representative of the Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, European External Action Service, Lisbon treaty. The aim of this paper is to identify the opportunities and challenges that arise to Lithuanian diplomacy in the EU diplomacy system after Lisbon. Lithuanian European diplomacy outlooks in the new EU diplomacy system depend on the effective usage of the opportunities and on the overcome of the threats that arise after Lisbon. SWOT analysis of the Lithuanian European diplomacy after Lisbon revealed that weaknesses are related mostly with the administrational capabilities and lack of recourses. The strengths lie behind centralized coordination of the EU politics and active diplomacy in the region. The opportunities that arise from the new EU diplomacy institutions are related with the reduction of administrational costs, bigger influence in EU diplomacy formation, spreading of national diplomacy culture and more effective institutional coordination inside the EU. The possible threats are related with vertical European diplomacy coordination, reduction of the influence and the visibility of the national diplomacies, uncertainty in division of the competences between EEAS structures, small representation in EU institutions.
