ENIn 2018, Lithuanian researchers Algirdas Antanas Baliulis and Tomas Čelkis published a valuable collection of 187 inspections of bridges and dikes from the second half of the eighteenth century, preserved in the Lithuanian State Historical Archives in Vilnius. Despite certain shortcomings of this edition, it provides a wealth of information on the condition of bridges and dikes, which, as indispensable elements of road infrastructure, played a fundamental role in maintaining communication continuity. A continuation and supplement to these inspections is the presented table, which includes information on the tolls collected for bridges and causeways along various communication routes. Th is table was compiled based on inspections of bridge and dikes tolls conducted at the behest of the Treasury Commission of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania between 1777 and 1793.
