[Gente Lithuana, natione Lithuana] : recenzija
LTPaskutinį XX a. dešimtmetį lenkų akademiniuose sluoksniuose imta aktyviau domėtis kultūriniu lenkų, lenkų–lietuvių, lenkų–baltarusių paveldu už šiuolaikinės Lenkijos valstybės ribų. Gdansko universiteto teisės istorikas Dariuszas Szpoperis ilgą laiką intensyviai tyrinėjo XIX a. ir XX a. pradžios Lietuvos ir Baltarusijos politinę mintį ir išleido keletą darbų šia tema. Konstancjos Skirmuntt asmenybė, kurios politinę mintį ir veiklą pristatančiai D. Szpoperio knygai „Gente Lithuana, natione Lithuana. Myśl polityczna i działalność Konstancji Skirmuntt (1851-1934)“ skirta ši recenzija, Lenkijoje, Lietuvoje ar Baltarusijoje yra beveik nežinoma. Taigi mokslininkas ėmėsi gana naujos temos, atrado daugybę naujų archyvinių dokumentų ir iškėlė į dienos šviesą užmiršto XIX a. pab.–XX a. pr. socialinio ir politinio gyvenimo Lenkijos, Lietuvos ir Baltarusijos pasienyje puslapius. Jei knyga skiriama lenkiškai auditorijai, jos pavadinimas provokuoja ir leidžia spėti, jog veikalas skirtas ypatingai asmenybei, kurios gyvenimas ir darbai ne visiškai sutampa su vadovėlinėmis tiesomis. Būdama reta politinių salonų viešnia, K. Skirmuntt daugiausia laiko praleido Pinsko mieste ir priklausė intelektualams, kurie save vadino paskutiniaisiais LDK piliečiais. ENOver the last decade of the 20th century, Polish academic society showed a growing interest in cultural Polish, Polish–Lithuanian, Polish–Belarusian heritage outside the present state of Poland. A law historian of the University of Gdañsk Dariusz Szpoper has intensively researched the political thought of Lithuania and Belarus of the 19th century and the beginning of the 20th century for a very long period of time. The personality of Konstancja Skirmuntt, whose political thought and activities are presented in Dariusz Szpoper’s book “Gente Lithuana, natione Lithuana. Myśl polityczna i działalność Konstancji Skirmuntt (1851-1934)”, is almost unknown in Poland, Lithuania and Belarus. Therefore, the scientist had to deal with a rather new topic, found a number of new archival documents and brought to light forgotten chapters of social and political life of the frontier regions of Poland, Lithuania and Belarus from the end of the 19th century to the beginning of the 20th century. If the book is intended for the Polish audience, its title is provoking and allows assuming that the work is dedicated to an extraordinary personality, whose life and works do not totally correspond to the truths stipulated in text books. Being a rare guest at political saloons, Konstancja Skirmuntt spent most of the time in the city of Pinsk and belonged to intellectuals, who called themselves the last citizens of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania. This book is certainly recommended for readers, since it denies the myth still popular among researchers that the noblemen once governing the territories of the modern Poland, Belarus and Lithuania were strictly pro-Polish and were against the national liberation of peoples inhabiting these territories.
