ENA renowned historian Dr Adolfas Šapoka (1906-1961) after receiving a scholarship from the Czechoslovak Ministry of Education was the first Lithuanian historian specialist to accomplish a research grant in Prague in 1930-1932. Working in Prague Šapoka was involved mainly in examining Lithuanian and Czech connections in the late middle Ages. In Prague he was also collecting material for his forthcoming dissertation. There he prepared 4 articles. His printed works were favourably assessed by J. Beblavy, a Slovak who worked at Kaunas University at that time. While still in Prague, Šapoka was offered to lecture a course of Czech history at Kaunas University, however this course was not carried out. Keywords: Praha; V.
