Z. Ivinskio teorinės nuostatos ir paieškos XX a. 4-ajame dešimtmetyje

LTPastaruoju dešimtmečiu Zenono Ivinskio (1908–1971) mokslinis palikimas susilaukė didelio šiuolaikinių istorikų dėmesio. Keli Z. Ivinskio XX a. 4-ajame dešimtmetyje rašyti Lietuvos istorijos mokslui skirti straipsniai tapo istorikų A. Bumblausko, E. Bakonio dėmesio objektu. Straipsnio autoriaus atlikta Z. Ivinskio tekstų analizė rodo, jog ne visos A. Bumblausko padarytos išvados gali būti besąlygiškai priimtinos. Pirma, XX a. 4-ajame dešimtmetyje Z. Ivinskis nebuvo vienintelis Lietuvoje, siekiąs istoriosofiškai apmąstyti šalies praeitį – būta ir kitų bandymų; antra, Z. Ivinskis iš tikro kvietė pakelti istoriją į aukštesnį genetinį lygį, nors tai traktavo ne kaip reikalą įveikti pozityvizmą, bet, priešingai, pasiekti jo brandą galutinai atsisakius romantizuotos istorijos ir pasitelkus kai kurias vykusias istoriosofines įžvalgas; trečia, jis nesiekė žūtbūt pakeisti pagrindinius pozityvistinio istorizmo principus civilizacinių modelių teoriją, bet geriausiu atveju numatė lygiagretų jų egzistavimą ateityje; nuostatą rašyti genetinę istoriją jis, kaip ir kiti šalies istorikai, nelaikė „istorizmo įveikos“ priemone, bet traktavo ją kaip būtiną šio istorizmo elementą; ketvirta, po Antrojo pasaulinio karo gyvendamas emigracijoje, Z. Ivinskis nežengė atgal: jis, iš prigimties būdamas stiprus analitikas, formavosi ir visą gyvenimą išliko istorikas pozityvistas, istoriosofinis pamąstymas jo tekstuose kartais atlikdavo kompensacinį vaidmenį, pagyvindamas sausą įvykių dėstymą. ENTexts of Zenonas Ivinskis (1908-1971), one of the most productive historians of Independent Lithuania of the forth decade of the 20th century are reviewed. His original opinion about the purpose of history as a science is expressed and the historiographical situation of Lithuania is discussed. These texts have already become the object of attention for some historians (A. Bumblauskas, E. Bakonis) of our country. The author tried to correct some points used to present Z. Ivinskis as a scientist, being content neither with the romantic nor the positive method which was prevailing at that time, and attempting to change it by the methodology of civilization models. The author made the following main conclusions: first, Z. Ivinskis was not the only one in Lithuania who attempted to develop a historical look at the past of the country, there were other attempts too; second, Z. Ivinskis was really inviting to raise history into a higher genetic degree, though he treated it not like a need to defeat positivism, but, on the contrary, to help it reach its maturity by totally refusing romanticized history and with the help of some historiosophical insights; third, he did not try to change the basic principles of positive history at any cost and replace them by theory of civilized models, but in the best case foresaw their parallel existence in the future; forth, when living in emigration after the World War II, Z. Ivinskis did not step back: being a strong analyst by nature, he was developing all his life as a historian positivist, and sometimes historiosophical thinking in his texts would perform a compensational role, making a dry positive presentation of events more alive. In other words, he saw it as an interesting experiment happening in the laboratory of the positivist, in the name of which he was not going to destroy the "palace of history" or make any other major turnover.
