Poilsio laikas – tai laiko tarpas, kai darbuotojas neatlieka darbo funkcijų, darbdavys nereguliuoja jo veiksmų, šį laiką darbuotojas gali panaudoti savo nuožiūra. Lietuvos Respublikos Konstitucijos 49 straipsnis reglamentuoja, kad kiekvienas dirbantis žmogus turi teisę turėti poilsį ir laisvalaikį, taip pat kasmetines mokamas atostogas. Tik dirbdamas žmogus gali kurti gerovę sau ir aplinkiniams žmonėms. Darbas ir poilsis yra labai artimai susijusios kategorijos, nes dirbančiam žmogui poilsis yra būtinas, kad išliktų darbingas, be to, tai svarbu žmogaus sveikatai. ENEach working person has a right to the rest time. Different types of the rest time are determined for the rehabilitation of employees. Working person must know laws, which provide rest time (dinner and special breaks, annual and purposive vacation and other types of the rest) and to try use this time the more effective. Purpose of this article is to disclose and evaluate peculiarities of rest time organization in the administration of Klaipėda district municipality and to provide possibilities for the improvement. A right to rest time is regulated by many statements of law, which at present time are valid in the Lithuanian Republic: the Lithuanian Republic Constitution, Code of Work, international declarations and conventions. Each working person has a right to have rest and leisure. Since the times of Lithuanian independence is being created system of legal acts, which guarantees a right for each worker to have suitable, safe and healthy conditions of the work, and takes into consideration the following: a) Statutes of the international work organization; b) Each person's right to have suitable conditions of the work, which is declared in Universal Human rights convention; c) Europe Union directives 89/391 EEC, 93/104 EC, 94/33 EC, 92/85 EEC.The biggest part workers of Klaipėda district municipality administration through so big load of the job exploits only a part for them belonging rest time, and only a small part workers use all rest time, but there are and workers which don't use rest time at all. In this situation administration must safeguard rest time using. First of all administration has to find out reasons, why workers of this municipality can't cope with their work at time, and then try to eliminate this problem. Administration of Klaipėda district municipality for effective organization of rest time should take into account opinion of workers and to discuss their suggestions and wishes how to make better organization of the rest time. Organization of the rest time in the administration of Klaipėda district municipality is satisfactory: there is keeping laws which regulate work and rest time. In the majority organization of the rest time depends from the head standpoint to the workers and their health. [From the publication]
