LTŠio straipsnio tikslas – priminti vienintelio Miłoszo politinio romano „Valdžios paėmimas“ pasirodymo aplinkybes ir jo likimą „atšilimo“ laikotarpiu. Pirmiausia prancūzų (1953), o paskui lenkų kalba (1955) Literatūros institute Paryžiuje išleistą knygą leidėjas –„Kultūros“ redaktorius – į Lenkiją išsiuntė su netikru viršeliu. Jos fragmentai – pirma Miłoszo publikacija Lenkijoje (1956 m. gruodį) po to, kai jis nutraukė ryšius su komunistine vyriausybe. Straipsnyje aptarta kūrinio recepcija oficialioje Lenkijos spaudoje ir cenzūros įsikišimai į pasvarstymus apie šį Miłoszo romaną.

ENThis article aims to guide the origins and fate of the political novel of Miłosz – "The Seizure of Power". The novel was written in 1952 and first published in French (1953), later in Polish (1955) in the Literary institute in Paris. The novel was sent to Poland. Cover of the book was false. Fragments of The Seizure of Power was the first publication in the Polish journal after years of (December 1956). The article presents the reception the novel in official Polish newspaper during "the thaw" and censorship in the publications of Miłosz and his book.
