ENThis paper deals with the small town of Barstyčiai situated in the North - West of Lithuania (Skuodas District) and its area of offering places (about 10 km around) - the old Curonians’ (one of the Baltic tribes) sacred places where offerings to Gods were burnt. These offering places are the heritage of the eastern part dwellers of the Curonian Keklis (Cecklis) historical land, being found one by one, in groups and in belts (zones), probably marking borders of the tribe’s territory. Because of the abundance of offering places, it may be concluded that Barstyčiai in the 6th-13th centuries was one of the local centres of the old Curonian religion.
