ENThe article analyses the possibilities for integrating popular music into junior school learners' music education: topicality of integration is substantiated from the point of view of social aspect, experience accumulated in Lithuania and other countries and results of school learners' surveys are presented, the social educational role of teacher and possibilities for improvement of learners' music activity are discussed.
