Seimo elektroninės paslaugos visuomenei
LTSeimas – atviriausia visuomenei valdžios institucija, bendravimui su ja naudojanti įvairiausius kanalus ir priemones. Kadangi šiame informacijos amžiuje vis didesnį vaidmenį žmogaus gyvenime atlieka internetas, todėl didžiąją dalį informacijos apie savo išrinktų atstovų – Seimo narių – veiklą, teikiamus teisės aktų projektus, priimamus įstatymus, svarbiausius politinius įvykius ir kt. visuomenė gauna per Seimo interneto svetainę. Visuomenes ir Seimo bendravimo procese informacijos pateikimui keliami vis didesni reikalavimai – juos galima pavadinti informacinės politikos principais – tai viešumas, skaidrumas, operatyvumas, saugumas, informacijos skleidimas, interaktyvumas, prieinamumas, pasiekiamumas ir nuolatinis informacijos saugojimas. Remiantis šiais principais sukurtos viešosios Seimo informacinės sistemos posistemės, kuriose parengtą informaciją gali surasti interneto svetainės lankytojas. Siekdama toliau tobulinti ir modernizuoti viešąsias paslaugas, Seimo kanceliarija dalyvauja Europos Komisijos kofinansuojamame projekte Virtualus darbalaukis mobiliam renkamo atstovo darbui palaikyti (A virtual desktop to support the mobile elected representative), taip pat rengiasi projekto E. Seimas – elektroninės demokratijos priemonių plėtojimas Lietuvos Respublikos Seime įgyvendinimui iš Europos regioninės plėtros fondo lėšų 2007–2013 m. programavimo laikotarpiu. Projekto tikslas – pasitelkus informacinių technologijų priemones sustiprinti Seimo ir visuomenės sąveiką, siekiant geresnio Lietuvos gyventojų ir Seimo abipusio bendradarbiavimo.
ENThe Seimas is a most open state institution using a multitude of' channels and tools for communication with the general public. In this day and age of information, with the Internet playing an increasingly important role in people's lives, the Seimas webpage serves as a most comprehensive solution providing the public at large with a vast pool of information on its elected members (MPs), draft legislation, adopted legal acts, and major political events. On the other hand, in the process of communication between the civil society and the Seimas, increasingly stringent requirements are set for the supply of information, encapsulated by the following information policy principles: openness, transparency, speed, security, dissemination of information, interactivity, availability, accessibility, and the constant storage of data. Precisely these principles informed the development of the subsystems of the public information system of the Seimas. The information submitted to the subsystems is now available to the users of the Seimas website. In an effort to further improve and modernise its public services, the Office of the Seimas participates in "A virtual desktop to support the mobile elected representative", a project co-funded by the European Commission.The Office of the Seimas has also submitted a bid to the European Regional Development Fund for the 2007-2013 call to support funding of the "E-Seimas" project to develop e-democracy tools in the Seimas of the Republic of Lithuania. The aim of the project is to reinforce the interaction between the Seimas and the civil society by employing the tools provided by the modern information technology in an effort to insure better mutual cooperation between the citizens of Lithuania and the Seimas.
