Summary / Abstract:

LTStraipsnyje pristatomi apibendrinti Kauno aukštosiose mokyklose 2005 m. atliktos apklausos rezultatai. ENThe conception of the Pre-Christian Lithuanian religion in present-day Lithuania is analyzed in the article. The survey analysis of the research carried out in 2005. During it, 100 Kaunas’students were examined. The results of the study show that students are familiar with ancient Lithuanian religion, especially with the ancient pantheon. Mostly they get the information at secondary schools (particularly during classes of history) and from general sophistication and their own reading. The least known spheres of the ancient religion and mythology are the ancient cosmology and anthropogony. Majority of the respondents maintain that they have nothing in common with this ancient religion (because they are either irreligious or Christian or are indifferent to it at all). However, a small part of them supposes that this religion still exists (in any case in the particular groups of people or in apocryphal forms. [From the publication]
