LTRecenzijoje analizuojama Ingos Iždonaitės-Medžiūnienės daktaro disertacija „Turizmo vadybos studentų socialinės kompetencijos modeliavimo pagrindimas“. Išryškinamas disertacinio tyrimo aktualumas, aptariami disertacijoje iškelti probleminiai klausimai: kaip modeliuoti turizmo vadybos studentų socialinę kompetenciją; kaip kinta turizmo vadybos studentų socialinės kompetencijos komponentų lygis universitetinių studijų metu? Probleminiai klausimai leido autorei daryti racionalią prielaidą, kad turizmo vadybos studentų socialinės kompetencijos modeliavimo pagrindimas bus atskleistas, jei socialinės kompetencijos komponentai bus orientuoti į komunikacinę, bendradarbiavimo darbo aplinkos situaciją ir vertybines kompetencijas, jei bus ištirta makroaplinka, kuri leis atskleisti požiūrį į turizmo vadybos studentų socialinės kompetencijos universitetinio ugdymo tendencijas ir problemas, o ištirta mikroaplinka atskleis universitetinių studijų turizmo vadybos studentų socialinės kompetencijos lygį. Recenzijoje aptariama disertacijos struktūra bei kiekviena jos dalis, taikyti tyrimo metodai. Išryškinamos vertingos išvados bei pateiktos rekomendacijos ir numatomi tolimesni tyrimai. Darbo tęstinumas yra numatomas penkiomis kryptimis, kurios apima planuojamus tyrimus ateityje turizmo vadybos studentų socialinės kompetencijos modeliavimo klausimais. Perspektyviniai tyrimai orientuoti į nepatvirtintų kiekybinio tyrimo prielaidų priežasčių aiškinimą bei šios kompetencijos modelio vertinimą.

ENThe review analyses Inga Iždonaitė-Medžiūnienė’s doctor thesis “Substantiation of Social Competence Modelling of Tourism Management Students”. It highlights the relevance of the thesis research and discusses the problems raised in the thesis: modelling of social competences of tourism management students; change of the elements of social competences of tourism management students during university studies. By addressing the problems the author could assume that substantiation of modelling of social competences of tourism management students will be revealed if the elements of social competences were oriented towards the communication and co-operation environment and the competences of value; if it analysed the macro-environment enabling to show the attitude towards the trends and problems of building social competences of tourism management students during their university studies and the examined micro-environment showed the level of social competences of tourism management students during their university studies. The review discusses the structure of the thesis and its every part as well as the methods of research applied. It highlights valuable conclusions and recommendations as well as the follow-up research to be undertaken in the future. Further work will be pursued in five directions, including planned research in the future about the issues of modelling social competences of tourism management students. Forward studies will be oriented to clarify the reasons for non-verified quantitative research and the assessment of this competence model.
