Vilniaus Šv. Arkangelo Mykolo bažnyčios autoriniai paveikslai Lietuvos dailės muziejaus rinkiniuose

LTFundaciją Vilniaus bernardinių vienuolynui ir Šv. arkangelo Mykolo bažnyčiai 1594 m. skyrė LDK kancleris Leonas Sapiega, vienuolėms užrašęs iš Valavičiaus įsigytus rūmus ir tais pačiais metais pradėjęs vienuolyno ir bažnyčios, kurią buvo numatęs ir kaip savo šeimos mauzoliejų, statybą. 1629 m. pagaliau įrengta bažnyčia buvo pašventinta, tačiau bėgant laikui ji ne kartą nukentėjo. 1952-1956 m. remontuojant bažnyčią buvo nugriauti barokiniai dirbtinio marmuro altoriai, į įvairias vietas iškeliavo inventorius. Atidžiai peržiūrėjus Lietuvos dailės muziejaus XVI-XIX a. tapybos rinkinio pagalbinio fondo, į kurį buvo perduoti ypač blogos būklės kūriniai iš uždarytų bažnyčių, eksponatus, paaiškėjo, kad Vilniaus Šv. arkangelo Mykolo bažnyčią puošusių tapybos darbų muziejuje yra ir daugiau. Be Sapiegos Madonos ir Šv. Klaros paveikslų, čia saugotas XVII a. tapytas Šv. arkangelo Mykolo atvaizdas, keturios didžiojo altoriaus drobės, trys Kristaus kančios ciklo paveikslai, buvę vienuolyno koridoriuje, ir Sapiegos Madonos kopija, kabėjusi virš vienuolyno vartų. Tik Kristaus kančios ciklo paveikslų ir didžiajam altoriui priskiriamo Dievo Tėvo atvaizdo kilmė apskaitos dokumentuose nurodyta. Kiti kūriniai identifikuoti remiantis XIX-XX a. pirmos pusės Šv. ENThe foundation to Vilnius Bernardine Monastery and St. Michael the Archangel Church was allocated by the GDL Chancellor Lew Sapieha in 1594. He made over the palace bought from Valavičius to nuns and in the same year he launched the construction of the church and the monastery. In 1629, the church, the construction of which was finally accomplished, was consecrated, however, with time, it suffered more than once. In 1952–1956, during the repairs of the church, baroque altars from artificial marble were demolished, various elements of the church left were taken away. A thorough examination of the exhibits of the auxiliary fund of the 16th–19th c. collection of paintings, which accepted bad condition works from closed churches, revealed that there were more paintings used in the decoration of St. Michael the Archangel Church of Vilnius. Apart from Sapieha’s paintings of Madonna and St. Klara, the collection also had the 17th century image of St. Michael the Archangel, four cloths of the main altar, three paintings of the Passion, which were exhibited in the corridor of the monastery, and the copy of Sapieha’s Madonna hanging above the gates of the monastery. Only the origin of the image of the Father attributed to the cycle of the Passion paintings and the main altar is indicated in the records. Other works were identified based on the photos of the interiors of St. Michael the Archangel Church of the 19th–early 20th century. The article discusses the development of the ensemble of the altars of St. Michael the Archangel Church and presents the data on reconstructions of the altars and renewals of paintings thereof. The author discusses the works identified in collections of the Lithuanian Art Museum, which were on the altars of this church from the 17th century.
