Changes of Lithuanian teacher training in the context of European experience

LTStraipsnyje analizuojami mokytojų rengimo sistemos Lietuvoje pokyčiai. Nurodomi kai kurie dabartinės mokytojų rengimo sistemos trūkumai, nagrinėjami veiksniai, skatinantys šios sistemos pokyčius, taip pat išsamiai aptariamos mokytojų rengimo sistemos Europoje pagrindinės pokyčių tendencijos. Siūloma atsižvelgti į šalies dabartinius socialinius poreikius bei progresyvią Europos patirtį mokytojų rengimo sferoje. Pastarojo dešimtmečio mokytojų rengimo sistemos pokyčius Lietuvoje ir jų pertvarkymą konceptualioje mokytojų rengimo struktūroje vertinant Europos mokytojų rengimo sistemos pokyčių tendencijų kontekste, galima teigti, kad Lietuvos mokytojų rengimo sistemos daugelis trūkumų taip pat yra būdingi ir kitoms šalims. Lietuvos mokytojai stokoja pakankamo pasiruošimo pokyčiams bei kompetencijų, būtinų atliekant mokytojo vaidmenį šiuolaikinių iššūkių kontekste. Mokytojų rengimo sistemos pertvarkymo tendencijos Lietuvoje iš esmės atitinka mokytojų rengimo pokyčių tendencijas Europoje. Galima teigti, kad tai atspindi nepertraukiamą ideologinę ir praktinę integraciją į Europos švietimo erdvę. Mokytojų rengimo sistemos Lietuvoje pokyčiai remiasi trimis principais: kompetencijos, mokytojų rengimo išorinio vertinimo ir sisteminio naudingumo. Šių principų nuoseklus įgyvendinimas yra būtina sąlyga atnaujinant egzistuojančią mokytojų rengimo sistemą.

ENThe article analyzes the changes in the teachers’ preparation system in Lithuania. Certain deficiencies of the existing teachers’ preparation system are specified, the factors, encouraging changes in the system are examined and the main trends of changes of teachers’ preparation system in Europe are thoroughly discussed. The article proposes to take into consideration the existing social needs in the country and the progressive European experience in the area of teachers’ preparation. When evaluating the changes in the teachers’ preparation system in Lithuania, which occurred during the last decade and their rearrangement in the conceptual teachers’ preparation structure in the context of the trends of changes of European teachers’ preparation system, it can be stated that the majority of the deficiencies of Lithuania’s teachers’ preparation system are also characteristic of other countries. Lithuanian teachers lack sufficient readiness for changes and competences, necessary for performing the role of a teacher in the context of modern challenges. The trends of rearrangement of the teachers’ preparation system in Lithuania in essence correspond to the European trends. It can be stated that this reflects the continuous ideological and practical integration into the European educational space. The changes of the teachers’ preparation system in Lithuania are based on the following three principles: competence, external evaluation of teachers’ preparation and systemic usefulness. Coherent implementation of the principles is a necessary precondition in renewing the existing teachers’ preparation system.
