Metaphern im Diskurs über die EU-Osterweiterung im deutschen und im litauischen

LTStraipsnio tyrimo objektas – metaforų vartojimas viešame politiniame diskurse apie Europos Sąjungos plėtrą, remiantis vokiškais ir lietuviškais laikraščių tekstais. Tikslas – atskleisti kiekvienai tautai būdingą požiūrį bei laikyseną Europos Sąjungos plėtros atžvilgiu, taip pat bendrumus ir skirtumus formuluojant ir propaguojant politinius tikslus, taigi, nustatyti kiekvienos šalies diskursui būdingus skirtumus ir panašumus. Straipsnyje analizuojama metaforų kokybė ir kiekybė, jų struktūra, išskiriamos kiekvienai šaliai būdingos metaforų sritys, aprašomos jų semantinės-pragmatinės funkcijos. Produktyviausia metaforų sritis vokiečių kalba vykstančiame diskurse yra "namų" metaforos. Pagrindinė per visą diskursą plėtojama metafora tai – Europos Sąjungos plėtra yra "statomas namas". Be šios, vokiečių diskursui būdingos metaforų sritys – šeimos, transporto priemonių, motoro, ligų ir mirties. Lietuviškame diskurse ypatingą vietą užima vadinamoji mokyklinė metaforika. Dažniausiai sutinkamos metaforos "daryti namų darbus" pagrindu išplėtota mokyklinė metaforika naudojama ne tiek apibūdinti Lietuvos poziciją derybose dėl stojimo į Europos Sąjungą, kiek išreikšti kritiką Europos Sąjungos atžvilgiu, kad derybos vyksta ne tarp lygiaverčių partnerių. Kitos lietuvišką diskursą apibūdinančios metaforų sritys – namų, kelio, transporto priemonių, giminystės, istorijos, ligų ir mirties. ENThe subject of research is the use of metaphors about the process of EU enlargement in the public political discourse with reference to Lithuanian and German newspaper texts. The aim was to reveal the approaches and positions of different nations towards the enlargement of the European Union as well as the similarities and differences in formulating and promoting of political objectives, thus determining the differences and similarities characteristic to the discourse of each country. The author analyzes the quality and quantity of metaphors, their structure, and domains of metaphor usage characteristic to each country, their semantic and pragmatic functions. The most productive group of metaphors in the ongoing discourse in German is "domestic" metaphors. The main metaphor developed through the whole discourse is the metaphor of the enlargement of the European Union compared to the process of building a house. In addition to this, the areas of metaphors characteristic to German discourse includes family, vehicle, motor, disease and death. A special place in the Lithuanian discourse is occupied by school metaphorics. School metaphorics developed on the basis of the most common metaphor of “making homework” is used not only to describe both the position of Lithuania in the negotiations for accession to the European Union, but also to express criticism on the European Union regarding the process of negotiations. Specific emotions and associations evoked by particular metaphors in the discourses of both countries brings the abstract project of the European Union closer to the addresse and invites forming own opinions.
