Naujausi Kražių jėzuitų kolegijos tyrimų duomenys

LTStraipsnyje pristatomi archeologiniai ir architektūriniai Kražių jėzuitų kolegijos tyrimai. Architektūriniai tyrimai šioje teritorijoje nesuteikia daugiau duomenų apie žmonių veiklą iki XVI amžiaus. Čia buvo rasti XVI - XX amžiaus artefaktai: buitinės keramikos dirbiniai, kokliai, darbo įrankiai, juvelyrikos dirbiniai, XVII - XIX amžiaus monetos ir kt. XIX amžiuje, kai ankstesnė bažnyčia buvo griaunama, kriptose ir rūsiuose buvę palaikai buvo perlaidoti kitoje vietoje masinėse kapavietėse. Palaidojimai, buvę po rūsių grindimis, liko nepaliesti.

ENArticle presents archaeological and architectural researches of the Jesuit College of Kražiai. Architectural researches in this territory do not provide us more certitude data about human's activity prior to the 16th century. There were found artifacts of 16th – 20th centuries: some of everyday pottery, tiles, working tools, jewelry, coins from the 17th —19th century and other. In the 19th century, when the former church was falling into decay, human remains, which were remaining in the crypts and cellarages, were overburried in the other place in the mass grave, while the graves that were under the floor of church cellarages remained untouched.
