Barokas Jano Bulhako nuotraukose

LTJ. Bulhakas buvo plataus diapazono fotomenininkas, išradingai ir gracingai fiksavęs Vilniaus bažnyčių architektūrą, interjerą, gipsatūras, skulptūras, freskas, jų fragmentus ir detales. Lietuvoje likusios nuotraukos perša mintį, kad J. Bulhakas itin žavėjosi baroko menu, kurio gausu Vilniaus bažnyčiose. Jautęs kaip laisvai baroke elgtasi su kolonomis, karnizais, frontonais, atliekančiais tarsi ne architektūros, bet tik dekoratyvinę funkciją, jis savo nuotraukose taip pat siekė laisvai, žaismingai užfiksuoti ne tik architektūros smulkiausią išradingumą, bet ir išryškinti kiekvienos interjero detalės, ornamento gyvą judesį, išraišką. Sakoma, kad labiausiai mėgęs fotografuoti Šv. Petro ir Povilo bažnyčią - būta net 2 000 Šv. Petro ir Povilo bažnyčios interjero negatyvų, Vilniaus archyvuose ir bibliotekų saugyklose galima rasti daugiau nei 300 šios bažnyčios vaizdų. Absoliučia Šv. Petro ir Povilo bažnyčios nuotraukų dauguma fiksuota interjero turtinga puošyba, plastikos gausybė, kur nesikartoja nei motyvai, nei kompozicija, o viską sieja prasminga mintis, turinys. J. Bulhakas nuolat kartojo, kad neįmanoma fotografuoti architektūros paminklų be žalumos, erdvės ir saulės, svarbu pasirinkti nuotolį, rakursą, perspektyvą ir apšvietimą. Tai iliustruoja Vilniaus Arkikatedros vaizdai, matomi 68-ose nuotraukose, penkiolikoje iš jų įamžinta Šv. Kazimiero koplyčia; Šv. Dvasios bažnyčia, užfiksuota 40 nuotraukų, 50 Šv. Mykolo bažnyčios nuotraukų. Kitų Vilniaus baroko bažnyčių vaizdų Akademijos J. Bulhako fonde tėra tik po keletą.

ENDepartment of Manuscript at the Library of the Vilnius Fine Art Academy holds 689 photographs of the Vilnius photo artist Jan Bulhak (1876-1950). In 1939, they were taken over from the Fine Art Faculty of the Vilnius Stephan Batory University: 563 of them, those slicked on the pasteboard, belonged to the Architecture Department of Poland, 96 separate photos - to the Department of Art and History and, in addition, those included in the album (1914) consist of 30 original ones. The architecture of the baroque churches of Vilnius is represented by the majority of the photos. The church exterior as well as the richness of the artistic pieces of the interior, such as sculptures, frescos and plaster figurines located in the naves and vaults can be viewed in them. The contrast of light and shade is inventively used by the photographer, whose choice of the optimum distance, raccourcer and perspective is evident in the photos. By fixing the groups of sculptured figurines, bas-reliefs, ornamentation and their details the harmonious co-ordination between the iconographical whole and the architecture of the churches of St. Paul and Peter, Holy Spirit, St. Nicolous and St. John as well as others is rendered by Bulhak photos. The peculiarities of the Vilnius baroque architecture are reflected in the photographer's works. The evident differences in the architecture of the buildings of the type as compared to the ones of other countries are exposed by the photos. Baroque art works and occupations are perpetuated in the photographs of Bulhak.
