Šiuolaikinis menas Vilniaus dailės akademijoje

LTStraipsnyje aptariami akademinio ir šiuolaikinio meno (neretai buvusio opozicija, alternatyva mokyklai) santykiai Vilniaus dailės akademijoje dešimtojo dešimtmečio pirmojoje pusėje. Nagrinėjant, kaip šie santykiai reiškėsi vietiniame dailės mokymo kontekste, pasitelkiami kai kurie tipiškiausi neakademines nuostatas rodantys studentų iniciatyvos pavyzdžiai ir Tapybos bei Skulptūros katedrų dėstytojų požiūriai. Moderniosios mokymo sistemos prieštaravimas tarp kūrybiškumo ir akademizmo (t.y. greitai sustabarėjančių profesinio rengimo principų) aiškiai matomas Vilniaus dailės akademijoje. Kalbant apie šią prieštarą, nesunku įžvelgti dėsningumą -pagrindiniai meninių reformų principai paprastai susiformuoja ne akademijoje, bet už jos sienų. Tačiau akademija palaipsniui integruoja naujoves; kuo greičiau jos įteisinamos, tuo mažiau "atsiliekama" nuo kitų simbolinių, naujas raiškos priemones legitimuojančių institucijų. Atsinaujinimas vyksta atsižvelgiant į šiuolaikinio meno raiškos tendencijas ir įvedant vis naujus mokymo kursus. Nuo pat naujo pedagoginio personalo darbo pradžios, pavyzdžiui, Tapybos katedroje vieni dėstytojai sveikino naujas studentų darbų meno formas, kiti joms priešinosi, naujoves iš karto mėgino supriešinti su hipotetiniu "vietinės mokyklos" įvaizdžiu. Prieštara tarp profesorių asmeninės atsakomybės ir "bendrųjų akademijos programų" prasiplėtė iki nesutarimų dėl valdymo struktūrų tęstinumo. Rezultatas buvo ne tiek šių sričių integracija, o labiau dezintegracija, kuri vedė prie tolesnių konfliktų. Bendras akademijos vadovybės santykis su šiuolaikiniu menu iki šiol nėra aiškiau nusakytas, trūksta ir atskiras vietinės mokyklos kryptis išreiškiančių pedagoginių nuostatų.

ENThe article analyses educational principles of the Vilnius Academy of Fine Arts from the beginning of the 1990s. The modernist confrontation between the academy and creativity in the first years of political independence caused a basic problem in education. It was solved, not so much by looking at the experience of Western art schools, but by looking for the unique way of a national school and by partially adapting the academic two degree system. The more self-governing departments raised the ideas of professors' personal responsibility and individual programmes. Disagreements between some subdivisions and the governing body of the VAFA became apparent, especially concerning the combination of art and science in the process of teaching. The principles of the new local teaching system were not articulated more clearly. While the concepts of "block" and "basic" teaching were used, the requirements of the new university type educational system and individual programmes of art teachers were discussed. The opposition between the "professors' individual responsibility" and "general programmes of academy" was extended to disagreements on the continuity of earlier structures of government, which was related to the old professors' opposition to the innovations and social - economic problems. When art was opposed to science, the result was not so much integration of these fields, but rather disintegration, which resulted in further conflicts both in the Senate and in the Departments. Because of these contradictions the status of the new institution was not realised; the inadequacy between art and "science" was partially proven by the lack of regulations of undergraduate and postgraduate studies and constant teaching programmes.
