Šeši tekstilės katedros dešimtmečiai

LTStraipsnyje apžvelgiama VDA Tekstilės katedros istorija nuo jos įkūrimo 1940 m. iki šių dienų. Pasitelkus faktografinius duomenis ir istorinę analizę, stengiamasi nušviesti katedros veiklą lemtingais istoriniais etapais: Antrojo pasaulinio karo ir pokario metais, sovietmečiu ir nepriklausomybės laikotarpiu. Bandoma atskleisti kiekvieno periodo raidos sąlygas, kartu parodyti dėstytojų ir jų sudarytų mokymo programų reikšmę rengiant specialistus. Tekstilės katedros istorija neatsiejama nuo sudėtingo XX a. II pusės Lietuvos gyvenimo ir nuo nuolat kitusio požiūrio į tekstilininko vaidmenį visuomenėje. Katedros gyvavimo istorija prasidėjo šalies okupacijos išvakarėse. Per daugiau nei šešerius katedros gyvavimo dešimtmečius Lietuvoje keitėsi politinė situacija. Okupacinis sovietmečio periodas nebuvo vienalytis dailininko meninės laisvės ir pažiūrų suvaržymo prasme. Per šešerius dešimtmečius kito ir tekstilininkui keliamų uždavinių pobūdis: nuo dailiojo amato atstovo, temokančio austi ir komponuoti liaudiško stiliaus audinius, vėliau - tekstilininko gamybininko, kuriančio masinės produkcijos pavyzdžius, iki šiuolaikinio dailininko, kurio misija nėra apibrėžiama vien amato išmanymu. Svarbų vaidmenį studentų individualybės formavimuisi vaidino čia dėstę dailininkai. Net 38 metus katedrai vadovavo J. Balčikonis, daugiau nei 40 metų - V. Daujotas. Kiekvieno laikotarpio ekonominiai poreikiai ir meninės tendencijos atsispindėjo dėstymo programoje. Mokymo sistema tobulinama iki šiol ir po penkerių ar dešimties metų šios specialybės rengimo kryptis gali būti jau visai kita.

ENThe article provides an overview of the history of the Department of Textile of Vilnius Academy of Arts from its founding in 1940 till present. By employing the factographical data the historical analysis attempts are made to describe the activities of the Department according to the crucial historical phases: the WWII and the postwar years, the Soviet era and the period of independence. Attempts are made to reveal the conditions of development of each period and also show the significance of the teachers and their educational programmes to training of specialists. The history of the Department of Textile is integral to the complicated life in Lithuania in the 2nd half of the 20th century and to the continuously changing view of the role of the textile worker in the society. The history of the Department started on the eve of the annexation of the country. During more than six decades of the Department’s existence the political situation in Lithuania changed drastically. The period of Soviet occupation did not utterly restrain the artistic freedom and worldview. During the six decades the character of the tasks, raised for the textile worker also changed: from a representative of a fine craft, who knows how to weave and compose folk style cloths to a later textile production worker, creating examples for mass production to the modern artist, whose mission is not defined only by knowledge of the craft. An important role in the shaping of students’ individuality was played by the artists, who taught them. For more than 38 years the Department was headed by J. Balčikonis, V. Daujotas managed the department for the time period longer than 40 years. The educational programmes reflected the economic needs and artistic trends of each period. The educational system is still developed and in a five or ten years’ period the direction of education of the specialty can be utterly different.
