Viešvėnų Švč. Trejybės bažnyčios altorių istorinė ir meninė raida
LTStraipsnyje pateikta Viešvėnų bvč. Trejybės bažnyčios altorių dekoro raida primena daugelio Lietuvos periferijos sakralinių statinių interjerų įrangos istorijas. Altorių titulai, altorinių paveikslų pavadinimai dar kartą liudija mūsų valstybės teritorijoje plačiai paplitusį pamaldumą šv. Antanui, šv. arkangelui Mykolui, šv. Jurgiui, Švč. Mergelei Marijai. Turininga 250 metų atkarpa, kurią gyvavo Viešvėnų bažnyčia, įgalina žiniomis apie šio statinio rneno paminklus papildyti Žemaitijos bažnytinio meno istoriją naujais faktais ir analogijomis.
ENThe first church in Viešvėnai was built around 1758; however, little remained from this first building after the reconstructions from the mid-nineteenth and early-twentieth century (in 1852 and 1903-1906). Nevertheless, archival materials as well as surviving artworks or their fragments enable a reconstruction of rich historical and artistic past of the church. The article presents the development of altar design in the Church of the Holy Trinity. In many aspects it resembles stories relating about the embellishment of interiors of majority of ecclesiastical buildings in the Lithuanian periphery. Titles of altars and altarpieces once again testify to the devotion to St Anthony, the Archangel Michael, St George, and the Virgin Mary being widespread in Lithuania. The church in Viešvėnai functioned for 250 years. This substantial time period contributes to our knowledge about devotional art thus supplementing the history of ecclesiastic art in Samogitia with new facts and analogies.
