Gender-related linguistic stereotypes in lithuanian parliamentary discourse

LTStraipsnyje siekiama išsiaiškinti, ar visuomenėje manoma, kad politikoje vyrai ir moterys kalbą vartoja vienodai, kokie nurodomi moterų ir vyrų lingvistiniai skirtumai, ar tuos skirtumus patvirtina kiekybinė tekstų analizė. Tyrime naudoti du lingvistinio tyrimo metodai: sociolingvistinės apklausos metodas bei tekstynų lingvistikos metodas. Taikant pirmąjį metodą, anketos su trumpais parlamentinio diskurso pavyzdžiais ir klausimais buvo išdalytos studentams. Tiriant vyrų ir moterų kalbą tekstynų lingvistikos kontekste, buvo sudaryti du atskiri vyrų ir moterų Seimo narių tekstynai, kuriuose kiekybiškai tikrinami sociologinės apklausos respondentų atsakymai ir įžvalgos.

ENThe article attempts to establish whether it is possible in the society that men and women use language similarly in politics, indicates the linguistic differences and examines whether the differences are substantiated by the quantity analysis of texts. The study employs two methods of linguistic study: the method of socio-linguistic survey and the method of corpus linguistics. By applying the first method, questionnaires with short examples of parliamentary discourse and questions were given to students. When studying the language of men and women in the context of corpus linguistics, two separate corpuses of male and female members of the Parliament were formed for the purpose of quantity study of the replies and insights of the respondents of the sociological survey.
