Summary / Abstract:

LTStraipsnyje nagrinėjami pastebėti pasakos "Eglė žalčių karalienė" siužeto pokyčiai, kurie sušvelnina pasakos daromą įspūdį. Apžvelgti įvairiose tautose žinomi šios pasakos variantai: 182 - lietuvių, 87 - latvių, 35 - estų, 4 - suomių, 1 - vepsų, 28 - rusų, 22 - baltarusių, 6 - ukrainiečių, po 2 - lenkų ir bulgarų, 4 - totorių, 1 - kazachų, 1 - čiuvašų. Analizuojami kūrinį švelninančių tendencijų paliestos variantų dalies kaitos modeliai, pagrindinį dėmesį kreipiant į siužetą, atskleidžiamas kaitos mastas ir galimos sąsajos su kaitos raidos procesais. Atlikus analizę paaiškėjo, kad tendencija sušvelninti pasakos "Eglė žalčių karalienė" turinį pastebima įvairių tautų variantuose. Laiminga pabaiga pasiekiama keliais būdais: 1) pasaka sutrumpinama iki vedybų, telieka pirmoji kūrinio dalis; 2) išmetama tragiška kulminacija; 3) pridėjus žalčio odos sudeginimo motyvą, veiksmas pasisuka sėkminga linkme; 4) išsilaisvinimą iš žalčio teigiamai vertina ir broliai, ir sesuo. Dalinis turinio švelninimas įvyksta keičiant žalčio vaikų kankinimo epizodą ir pasakos pabaigą. Pastebėta kaita vyko įvairiuose regionuose tiek XIX, tiek XX amžiuje.Reikšminiai žodžiai: Tautosaka; Eglės pasaka; Variantai; Modelis; Struktūra; Egle tale; Variants; Model; Structure.

ENIn order to point out the ways of digression from the chief story line, used to mitigate the contents of the tale, numerous variants of the tale "Eglė - the Queen of Serpents" recorded from different peoples, have been analyzed. These tendencies have proved to be most prominent in Lithuanian and Latvian folktale traditions. The most ample material has been collected from these two peoples as well, namely, Lithuanians have submitted 182 variants (or 149, excl. fragments and repeated recordings), Latvians - 87, while other 11 nations have altogether only 106 variants recorded. The essential tendency of the story line correction is the happy end devised for this tale. Four most prominent patterns could be discerned in this development, i.e.: 1) The tale is shortened, leaving only the first part of the story and ending it by wedding; 2) The tragic culmination of the second part is omitted; 3) By contaminating the tale with the motive of burning the serpent's exuviae, the action takes quite a different turn; 4) The bride attempts escaping from the serpent, either during the wedding or afterwards. The tale can also be partly mitigated by transforming the episodes of the children's torturing or the tale's ending. The variety of such episodes is particularly distinct in Lithuanian and Latvian texts. As shown by the recorded variants, these changes must have taken place in various regions in the 19th-20th centuries. [From the publication]
