Savivaldybių tarybų rinkimai 2000 : rinkimų rezultatų analizė
LTDemokratijai visi rinkimai vienodai svarbūs, Lietuvoje - taipogi. Kita vertus, sunku nesutikti su nuomone, kad kai kurie iš jų yra "svarbesni". Tai liudija ir žiniasklaidos, ir politikų, deja, ir akademinės visuomenės dėmesys atitinkamo lygio rinkimams. Tai, beje, rodo ir pačių piliečių "rinkiminis" sąmoningumas. Šis straipsnis - vienas iš bandymų atkreipti dėmesį, ko gero, į labiausiai nuvertintų savivaldybių tarybų rinkimų problemas, rezultatus bei reikšmę. Jame apžvelgiami savivaldybių rinkimų kampanijos ypatumai, analizuojama elektorato dinamikos įtaka partinės sistemos raidai bei rinkimų rezultatų sąlygoti pokyčiai politinių partijų santykiuose. ENIn a democratic environment any elections are important and Lithuania is no exception. On the other hand, it is difficult to disagree with the opinion that some of the elections are “more important”, which is evidenced by the attention, dedicated to elections of the corresponding level by the mass media, the politicians, and, regretfully, by the academic community. This is also shown by the “elective” consciousness of the citizens themselves. The article is one of the attempts to draw the attention to the problems, results and significance of one of the most overlooked type of elections, i. e. elections into the councils of local governments. The article provides an overview of the peculiarities of the local government election campaigns, analyzes the influence of the dynamics of the electorate on the development of the party system and the changes in the relations between the political parties, determined by the results of elections. Since Lithuania already has a certain experience of elections and formation of local governance institutions, the reader is presented with a good deal of comparative [statistical] information.
