LTPirmieji lietuvių tautinių rūbų kūrimo daigai pasirodė Mažojoje Lietuvoje XIX a. pabaigoje. Šio straipsnio tikslas yra pasekti, kaip reiškėsi lietuvininkų etninis identitetas teorinėje tautinių rūbų plotmėje. Remdamiesi XIX a. pabaigos - XX a. pradžios lietuvių periodine spauda, pažvelgsime, kaip buvo propaguojami tautiniai rūbai ir kokie tuo metu išryškėjo jų kūrimo orientyrai. [p. 302].
ENThe first renewals of Lithuanian national costumes appeared in Lithuania Minor at the end of the 19th century. The goal of this report is to follow the formation of the theoretical side of national costume creation. Interethnic relations were among several other factors. The Germans tried to integrate the heritage of the Lietuvininkai to their old handicraft. Professor G. Sauerwein’s contribution is very great here. He propagated and urged to wear old Lithuanian costumes on holidays and festivities. National costumes were widely used in culture movement. The formation of goals and ways of national costumes is also described in the report. One of the attempts of culture activists was aimed at raising interest in authentic ancestors’ clothes. So, for the ethnization of clothes according to the old ones, people had to select authentical clothes and create suitable clothes “after the Lithuanian taste and fashion“.
