Jonušo Radvilos mecenatystė : disertacija

LTDisertacijoje nagrinėjami LDK didžiojo etmono, Vilniaus vaivados Jonušo Radvilos (16121655) dailės ir architektūros kūrinių užsakymai. Jie aiškinami didiko pažiūrų į dailę, meninio skonio ir bendresnių vertybinių orientacijų kontekstuose. Analizuojama Jonušo Radvilos rezidencijų ir jo statydintų bažnyčių architektūra, etmono užsakyti tapybos, grafikos ir skulptūros kūriniai: portretai, istorinio žanro kompozicijos, embleminės iliustracijos panegiriniuose spaudiniuose. Išryškinami šių dailės kūrinių funkcionavimo dvare ypatumai. Charakterizuojamas Jonušo Radvilos kunstkameros savitumas ir ryšys su analogiškų Vakarų Europos kolekcijų tradicija. Nagrinėjamas dailininkų samdymo mechanizmas, jų darbo reguliavimo ir kontrolės būdai. Atskleidžiamas dailininko statusas dvare, jo kūrybos ryšys su socialine ir kultūrine aplinka. Rekonstruojant didiko dvaro dailės ypatumus, be išlikusių kūrinių, remiamasi ir vėlesnėmis dingusių kūrinių kopijomis, rinkinių inventoriais ir kitais rašytiniais šaltiniais. Teiginiai grindžiami didiko ir jo tarnų korespondencijos, teisinių, ūkinių dokumentų ir kitų iki šiol netyrinėtų šaltinių analize. Disertacijoje parodomas Jonušo Radvilos veiklos ryšys su giminės architektūros ir dailės užsakymų tradicija. Išryškinamas didiko vaidmuo aktyvinant LDK kultūros procesus ir dailės raidą XVII a. ENThe dissertation analyses commissions of the works of art and architecture by the Hetman of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania, Vilnius palatine Janusz Radziwiłł (16121655). They are explained within the contexts of the nobleman’s attitudes to art, artistic taste and more general value-based orientations. Architecture of Janusz Radziwiłł residences and churches built by him, paintings, works of graphics and sculpture commissioned by the Hetman are analysed: portraits, compositions of the historical genre, illustrations in panegyric publications. Peculiarities of functioning of these works of art in the manor house are elucidated. The originality of kunstkamera of Janusz Radziwiłł and the relationship with the tradition of analogous collections of Western Europe are characterised. The mechanisms of hiring artists, ways of regulating and controlling their work are investigated. The status of an artist in the manor house, the relationship of his creative work with the social and cultural environment is revealed. When reconstructing the peculiarities of art of the manor house of the nobleman, apart from the existing works, later copies of the works of art that have disappeared, inventories of collections and other written sources have been used. The statements are based on the analysis of correspondence of his servants, legal documents and other sources that have not been investigated thus far. The dissertation shows the relation of the activity of Janusz Radziwiłł with the family tradition of commissions for architecture and art. The role of the nobleman in activating cultural processes of the GDL and the development of art in the first half of the 17th century are elucidated.
