LTPagal Lietuvos Respublikos socialinės apsaugos ir darbo ministeriją 2022 m. pabaigoje mūsų šalyje gyveno apie 223 tūkst. asmenų su negalia, palyginti su 2021 m., šis skaičius šiek tiek padidėjo. Asmenų turinčių proto negalią kiekvienais metais vis daugėja, mūsų visuomenė dar nėra stipriai pažengusi juos priimti į visuomenę. Vis labiau visuomenėje pabrėžiama apie psichikos ligas ir vis daugiau dėmesio skiriama joms, kadangi tai yra labai paplitusi negalia. Taigi galima teigti, kad didelė dalis tokių asmenų visuomenėje padeda ugdyti ir jiems visavertiškai gyventi įsikūrę socialinių paslaugų centrai, kurie padeda šiems žmonėms gyventi visuomenėje, ugdo juos, šiose įstaigose šie asmenys tobulėja ir vykdo užimtumo veiklas. ENAim of the research: To disclose the activities of a social worker working with service recipients with mental and behavioral disorders in an institution providing day social care services. The problem of the research: Activities of a social worker working with service recipients with mental and behavioral disorders in an institution providing day social care services. Conclusions: The research results revealed that social workers provide not only social services, but also other additional activities with recipients of social services with mental and behavioral disorders. When working with social service recipients, social workers work in a team of specialists, each worker takes care of social service recipients in different activities. The research revealed that social services are mostly provided to service recipients: general and special (day social care in an institution) social services. Also, social workers carry out activities with people with mental and behavioral disorders - needlework, drawing, coloring, singing, dancing, acting, walking in the fresh air, socio-cultural activities, development of daily skills, lectures on various topics. The results of the research showed that every year different activities are chosen to make the service recipients more interested in the same activities, as we know that each person is unique and can come up with the same task in a different way. Additional activities with persons with mental and behavioral disorders include: participation in social events, communication with recipients of social services, provision of emotional support, individuality in activities.
