ENPublic notaries who edited transumpts of documents in the form of notarial instruments also described the seals attached to these documents. Particularly valuable are the descriptions of seals that no longer exist today. Research on the language of the descriptions is equally important. These descriptions are an important source for the study of seals, coats of arms (since most seals depicted coats of arms), and the work practice of notaries. Keywords: transumpt, notary instrument, seal, coat of arms, document.
