LT2002 m.
ENA research performed has shown that not only the educational institutions of art (music, painting, dance, etc), but also the schools for general education can employ the graduates with various specialities (musicians, choreographs, stage directors) from Lithuanian Academy of Music as the educators in the range of ethnocultural education. Therefore it would be useful for them to enrich their education in ethnoculture, to get deeper into authentic traditions. On the other hand they will face the last decade problems actual to all educators of the ethnic culture: a decline of Lithuanian national self-consciousness, insufficient workload and base (e.g. methodical means, musical instruments, national costumes for folklore group members, etc). If there were proper conditions (the acknowledgement is meant as well), the teachers, research workers as well as students of Lithuanian Academy of Music could successfuly work on creating various methodical publications and means of ethnic music as well as ethnic culture. It would insure their updating according to the latest scientific achievements. Further more at Lithuanian Academy of Music it could be organized national as well as international theoretical and practical qualification courses to the educators of ethnic culture. The students of Lithuanian Academy of Music could take for choice the degrees of two specialities, for instance that of an ethnomusicologist or authentic ethnic music performer. On the other hand when having a competent educator it would be advisable to establish the specialities of ethnic music and ethnic choreography at the art schools for children.
