LTŠio straipsnio tikslas ir yra apžvelgti 2002-2004 metų patirtį organizuojant kai kuriuos metodinius seminarus chemijos mokytojams bendromis Respublikinių moksleivių techninės kūrybos rūmų, Vilniaus universiteto Chemijos fakulteto ir Vilniaus pedagoginio universiteto Gamtos mokslų fakulteto pastangomis [p. 86].
ENAll variants of one of the most basic documents, that regulate teaching and studying (Standards of General Education, 1997, 1998, 2002), put stress, that course of chemistry at secondary schools is designed to recognize thoroughly and understand deeply characteristics of Matter, principles of its changes, the unity of processes that occur in Nature, and their dynamic equilibrium. Pupils should understand the importance of ideas of sustainable development, realize the need to preserve unique biosphere, and to highlight that the quality of biosphere can ensure the quality of mankind life. The condition of successful teaching is the personality of the teacher - his creativeness and initiatives. That defines the actuality of present qualification of chemistry teachers and problems of its improvement. The Order of the Ministry of Education and Science of Lithuania Nr. 850, issued on May the 15th, 2002, states the importance to support teachers’ qualification development programs in order to encourage pedagogues to moderate teaching processes independently, to project and constantly develop educative activities, obtain necessary informative and communicative skills, modern social competence, to study all life themselves.The aim of this article is to overview an experience of organizing methodical seminars for chemistry teachers in 2002-2004. Republican palace of students’ technical creativity, Faculty of Chemistry of Vilnius University and Vilnius Faculty of Nature of Pedagogical University made these events happen. Topics of seminars covered various issues, mostly of theoretical questions of chemistry, and excursions. The experience, obtained during activities held in 2002-2004, showed the importance of methodical seminars for chemistry teachers, both in the sense of subject, so emotionally, expressed their perspective, because they link schools with High school and create conditions for subject consulting. Republican palace of students’ technical creativity, main organizer of Chemistry Olympiads and National Young Scientist Contest, can convey much useful subject and organizational experience to teachers.
