ENThis paper describes the development of university level interdisciplinary environmental studies curricula in Lithuania with an emphasis on the use of information technology. In order to set up the aims and content of the curriculum a model of the future specialist’s activities has been developed. The objectives of the appropriate courses were formulated and the needs for curriculum development were subsequently determined. This led to the setting up of the European Union TEMPUS project ‘Computer Based Environmental Studies in Lithuania (COBES-Lithuania)’.
