ENThis article is going to summarize the results of a research investigating electronic channels applied in the finance sector, which have been achieved in the first step of the joint researches of BME ITM and Vilnius University. In addition to the general description of the financial and banking system of the two countries, this article deals with the areas of internet banking and mobile banking, as well as with the market of paying cards, furthermore presents the most important data, the characteristic properties, expectations and problems of these areas, from the aspect of the situation in Lithuania and Hungary.
