Žvalgomieji tyrinėjimai Gedimino pr. tarp Jogailos ir A. Jakšto g

LTVilniaus miesto savivaldybė toliau tęsė Gedimino prospekto Vilniaus mieste rekonstrukcijos darbus. 2004 m. buvo keičiamos dangos ir senos komunikacijos apie 220 m ilgio ir 20 m pločio atkarpoje tarp Jogailos ir A. Jakšto gatvių. Bendras keičiamų dangų plotas - per 4400 m2. Važiuojamosios gatvės dalies plotis šioje atkarpoje yra apie 10,5 m, šaligatviai - apie 5 m pločio. Darbų metu važiuojamoje kelio dalyje buvo iškastas lovys iki 110 cm gylio nuo šaligatvių viršaus (apie 2200 m2) ploto. Šaligatvių zonoje gruntas keistas iki 0,6 m gylio (apie 2200 m2 plote). Be to, žemiau projektinio lygio buvo keičiamos senosios komunikacijos, įrengta nauja lietaus nuotekynė. Šioje teritorijoje buvo atliekami žvalgomieji archeologiniai tyrinėjimai [p. 255].

ENThe Vilnius City Municipality continued reconstruction of the Gedimino Avenue. In 2004 an archaeological survey covering about 2200 m2 was performed in the Gedimino Avenue section between the Jogailos and A. Jakšto Streets. It revealed that in most of the places both the primary surface and the cultural layer were destroyed. Nevertheless next to the corner of the Jogailos Str. an undisturbed cultural layer containing the 16th-17th century pottery, constructional ceramics and bones was found. There was a garbage pit with animal bones, shards of pots, plates and mugs, flat stove-tiles and glass. In front of the A. Vienuolio Str. a damaged roaster used for brick and tile production was discovered. Next to that there was a pit of production waste. During the investigations the roaster structure and its construction stages were established. Finds collected in its vicinity were preliminarily dated to the late 16th - early 17th century.
