ENArticle describes attitude of intellectuals gathered around „Culture” magazine towards ULB countries (Ukraine, Lithuania, Belarus) on example of regaining from USSR independence Lithuania (1989-1991). Interviews and articles published in magazine fully supported regaining of independence from Soviet Union even without resolving problems of Polish minority which were large part of population in Vilnius region.
