Tyrinėjimai Kernavėje, Gedimino g. 1

LT2004 m. buvo atlikti žvalgomieji tyrimai privačiame sklype Kernavėje, Gedimino g. 1. Šis sklypas, esantis Kernavės centre, prie bažnyčios, patenka į Kernavės buferinės apsaugos zonos regimosios apsaugos režimo pazonį. Archeologinių tyrimų metu buvo ištirti du 2 x 2 m dydžio šurfai (bendras 8 m2 plotas). Tyrinėtoje vietoje aptiktas dalinai apardytas XIV a. kultūrinis sluoksnis su šiam laikotarpiui būdinga keramika ir radiniais [p. 52].

ENIn 2004 in Kernavė at the site of the Gedimino Street 1 an area of 183 m2 was investigated (out of them 8 m2 during the survey). The following finds were collected: wheel-made pottery shards, two fragments of Lithuanian silver bars, 5 knifes and 12 knife fragments, a crossbow arrowhead, 6 keys of cylindrical locks, iron mountings, 2 penannular fibulas with stylized zoomorphic terminals, a flat fibula, whetstones, working tools, a lot of fragments of different items and a finery fragment. A distinctive cultural layer was found only in 8 waste-pits. It dates to the 14th century.
