Dauglaukio neįtvirtinta gyvenvietė

LT2004 m. susidarius palankiai situacijai numatyta tyrinėjimus atnaujinti, nes anksčiau atlikti tyrimai nepakankami, liko neaiškios išlikusio kultūrinio sluoksnio ribos, netikslus jo datavimas. Rengiantis tyrinėjimams platesnio gyvenvietės žvalgymo galimybė nebuvo rimčiau svarstoma. Tačiau betyrinėjant plotą 2 paaiškėjo, jog tyrinėjama užversta ar užstumdyta šaltiniuota griova ir būtina kuo greičiau žvalgyti saugomą gyvenvietės teritoriją [p. 41].

ENIn 2004 at the site of the Dauglaukis unfortified settlement an area of 100 m2 was investigated. The initial cultural layers were not found, but there was their reverse stratigraphy formed fdling a ditch. 525 rusticated pottery shards datable to the Middle Iron Age and three wheel-made pottery shards datable to the late Middle Ages were found. Surveying was performed in the protected territory and outside that. 144 test pits were excavated. One of them revealed remains of a small hearth, four featured remains of cultural layers without any finds. Respectively dating of these layers was impossible.
