ENIn 2022, in the area of the Šiauliai Manor Park that was undergoing renovations, 10 test pits with a total area of 20 m2 were excavated, and a 3,418 m2 area was surveyed along the walking paths (paths 1-8) and utility trenches, which were dug for lighting cables (trenches 1-9). The remains of 11 structures (buildings 1-11) and 2 storage pits (pits 1, 2) were recorded during the surveys. Building 1 was constructed of grooved brick and contained a vaulted cellar. This was presumed to be the “Great Palace” of the old manor, which was built in the second half of the 17th-18th centuries. The majority of the buildings were dated to the 17th century (buildings 2-7, 9, 11), whereas buildings 8 and 10 were dated to the 17th - start of the 18th centuries. A total of 3,724 archaeological finds were collected, of which 79 % were from Pit 1. The majority of the finds were ceramics, predominantly sherds of rustic pottery. There were also panel, cornice and pot-shaped stove tiles, window and bottle glass, and coins dating to the 17th-20th centuries.
