Povandeniniai archeologiniai žvalgymai Rytų Lietuvos ežeruose ir upėse

LT2008 m. žvalgyti keli Rytų Lietuvos ežerai, remiantis Luokesų ežero gyvenviečių geografine bei topografine padėtimi, ieškota panašių archeologinių objektų. Taip pat naujų archeologinių objektų povandeniniai žvalgymai atlikti 3 upėse (Nemune, Nevėžyje, Šventojoje) ir 11 ežerų (Aiseto, Ančios, Asvejos, Baltųjų Lakajų, Dumbliuko, Mergežerio, Siesarties, Stirnių, Suvingio, Uosinto, Vainežerio). Žvalgymų metu Asvejos, Dumbliuko ir Mergežerio ežeruose inventorizuoti 3 luotai [p. 522].

ENIn 2008 underwater surveys were conducted in 3 rivers and 11 lakes of eastern Lithuania. 3 logboats were discovered during surveys in lakes Asveja, Dumbliukas and Mergežeris. No important finds were discovered in lakes Ančia, Baltieji Lakajai, Siesartis and Stirniai. In lake Aisetas (Molėtai District) the remains of a bridge were discovered and dated to the 19th century. Some archaeological artefacts were found in lakes Suvingis (Alytaus District), Uosintas (Rokiškis District) and Vainežeris (Lazdijai District). During an underwater survey in the river Šventoji a new archaeological object was found. Artefacts, dating to a very broad period (from the Neolithic to the 19th century) show that the river (and river bank) was used for fishing and other purposes.
