ENThe excavation at the site of the former manor concentrated at the place where the right annex, which has not survived, joined the central palace and on the W edge of the remains of this palace. 19 trenches were excavated here and 6 test pits in the vicinity of the annex: in the courtyard and park of the former manor to the NE and W of the annex. Approximately 165 m2 were excavated in all. About 1500 finds dating to the 16th–18th centuries were discovered including coat-of-arms stove tiles (Wappenkacheln) and crest stove tiles (Bekrönungskacheln) decorated with small angels and a white and cobalt blue glaze. Judging from the brick walls and discovered basements, it is possible to assert that the central palace could have been built in the first half of the 17th century. It was also determined that people had lived at the Veisiejai manor site since the Stone or Bronze Age and the 1st millennium. (knapped flint and sherds of hand built pottery were found.) A 16th–19th-century cultural layer with valuable finds (coins, arrowheads, ceramics, etc.) was discovered in the vicinity of the manor.
