Pašatrijos piliakalnis ir papėdės gyvenvietė

LTVarnių regioninio parko direkcijos užsakymu 2009 m. liepos 7 – rugpjūčio 12 d. ŽMA atliko Pašatrijos piliakalnio ir papėdės gyvenvietės (24531) žvalgomuosius tyrinėjimus. Jie vykdyti pagal koreguotą Pašatrijos piliakalnio ir papėdės gyvenvietės pagrindinį brėžinį: projektuojamų pėsčiųjų takų įrengimo, kelio bei automobilių stovėjimo aikštelių vietose ir laužavietės vietoje. Archeologinių žvalgomųjų tyrinėjimų metu iškastas ir tyrinėtas bendras 220 m² žemės plotas. Buvo iškasti ir tyrinėti 55 šurfai (1 x 1 m, 2 x 2 m dydžio) ir 6 perkasos (2 x 4m, 2 x 10 m, 5 x 5 m dydžio) [p. 39].

ENIn 2009 a total area of 220 m2 was excavated during the evaluation at the Pašatrija hillfort and settlement sites (Telšiai District). An archaeologically valuable cultural layer was found in test pits 11, 13, 15, 25–27, 44–45, 50–55, and 59 and in trench 24 at the settlement site as well as in trenches 23, 57–58 at the hillfort site. No cultural layer was found in trench 61 on the flat hilltop. The 10–68 cm thick cultural layer with dark grey soil contained hand built and thrown pottery, iron clinkers, pieces of clay daub, and isolated individual finds. All of the archaeological material found at the Pašatrija hillfort and settlement sites dates to the 5th–14th centuries.
