ENLithuania has been a consistent supporter of European Union (EU) enlargement since it joined the Union in 2004. However, until 2022 even granting the status of candidate countries to EU’s Eastern neighbours - Lithuania’s key priority - seemed very distant. By contrast, the challenge now is how to turn the current geopolitical crisis into the EU’s renewal and achieve the goal of creating a united Europe, free and at peace.
