ENThe article focuses on the origin and textual sources of the Cyrillic manuscript version of the 4th (3rd) Book of Esdras in the Manachyn Old Testament Florilegium of 1575-1577 (its two parts are now kept in Lviv, while one part is in Sankt Petersburg), which is usually regarded as consisting of published and unpublished Bible translations by Francis Skorina († 1551/52). Taking as an example three verses from the 1st chapter of the 4th Book of Esdras (1.8, 19, 35), the author demonstrates that this textual version cannot belong to Francis Skorina, as traditionally believed, since it is a later Ruthenian translation from the Czech Bible published in Prague by Jiří Melantrich in 1556-1557 or 1560-1561.
