Ardiškio senovės gyvenvietė II

LT2017 m. tyrimai Ardiškio senovės gyvenvietėje II (Širvintų r., Kernavės sen.) vyko dėl žemės judinimo darbų, susijusių su į gyvenvietės teritorijoje esantį sklypą vedamu elektros kabeliu. Elektros kabelis buvo vedamas prastūmimo būdu, todėl tyrimai atlikti tik prastūmimui reikalingų prieduobių vietose. Suprojektuotos elektros kabelio trasos ilgis 420 m, prastūmimui reikėjo 4 prieduobių, kuriose atlikti detalieji tyrimai. Ardiškio senovės gyvenvietė II atrasta 2013 m., vykdant kompleksiškus Neries pakrančių žvalgomuosius tyrimus. Tuomet čia ištirti 9 šurfai, kuriuose aptiktas akmens ir geležies amžių bei ankstyvųjų viduramžių gyvenviečių kultūrinis sluoksnis su titnago radiniais, grublėtąja bei apžiesta keramika, geležies šlaku (ATL 2013 metais, 2014, p. 114–115). 2014 m. R. Vengalis vienoje gyvenvietės vietoje ištyrė 6 šurfus, kuriuose išlikusio kultūrinio sluoksnio neaptikta, tačiau įžemio horizonte fiksuoti įgilinti objektai su radiniais, priklausančiais iki tol ne - identifikuotam gyvenvietės apgyvendinimo etapui – I tūkst. pr. Kr. (ATL 2014 metais, 2015, p. 68–71). [...] [p. 119].

ENIn 2017, a field evaluation (four areas totalling 19 m2 ) was conducted at the site of the push pits for a planned power cable at Ardiškis Ancient Settlement II (Širvintos District, East Lithuania). Archaeological signs, i.e. finds and objects, were discovered in three of the four excavated areas. The discovered finds: pottery with grainy and rough surfaces, date to the 1st millennium bc and the mid-1st millennium ad. In addition to the pottery, some featureless flint, bone, and stone finds were also found. The 1st-millennium bc pottery with grainy surfaces discovered at the settlement proved to be especially interesting. Up until then no finds of such pottery were known in East Lithuanian settlements on open ground. A depression at the terminal segment of a valley, perhaps an old riverbed, in this settlement’s territory is also interesting from an ar - chaeological perspective. The investigation re - vealed that stratified layers of peat, containing finds and partially surviving organic matter, had formed at this location and therefore further investigations there might yield important information in the future.
